Landfill gas
When waste is stored in landfill sites, microorganisms break down the waste material causing gas to be released.
Energen Solutions' compressor stations can be used to extract gas from the disposal site and make it available for use as fuel. Any surplus gas is burnt off in a legal, environmentally sound way using high temperature gas flares.
Coalmine gas
Mine gas (which consists mainly of methane) is released during the extraction of coal. The safety hazards posed by this gas are considerable making gas extraction extremely important.
Powerful Energen Solutions' compressors can be used to extract the gas from active or exhausted mines. Gas is sent for reuse in a closely controlled manner improving mine safety and making the gas available as a highly economical fuel source to generate electricity.
Digestor gas
At sewerage treatment works, in anaerobic conditions, sewerage gas is generated. This gas has a very high calorific value.
The fermentation processing of biomass (a renewable resource) in biogas plants also generates gas with a high energy potential. Energen Solutions' biogas flares can be tailored to suit your specific requirements.
Industrial gas
Combustible gases (such as process gases, wood gases, and vapours from petrochemical processing) are difficult to purify. It is especially important to ensure that the purification process is uninterrupted.
If the cleaning system breaks down, or requires inspection, a back up solution must be in place to deal with gas emissions.
Our customised flare burners are ideal for use as a back up system or as the main means for disposing industrial gases.
