About trigeneration
“Retro-greening” is the No. 1 issue facing the built environment. It involves improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings. The Green Building Council of Australia is actively promoting trigeneration as a cost-effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (their target is a reduction of at least 50% by 2050).
The tri-generation process produces energy in the form of power, heat and cooling from the single fuel source (or from solar energy). The trigeneration process offered by Energen Solutions is fuelled by natural gas and characterised by extremely high levels of efficiency.
Trigeneration is gaining popularity — particularly as opportunities arise from the deregulation of the electricity and gas markets.
What makes Energen Solutions’ trigeneration systems unique?
In addition to innovative engineering and design, they:
- Take full advantage of waste energy from gas-fired generators,
- Operate at maximum energy efficiency, and
- Can be cost-effectively integrated into both new and existing commercial developments.
- Custom-built systems can be designed, manufactured, assembled and installed to suit any development including:
- Individual office developments,
- Groups of buildings serviced by one central plant,
- 24-hour, seven-day-per-week operations (such as data centres, or airport terminals),
- Larger precincts that encompass small townships.
The benefits of our tri-generation solutions
Some key benefits of our trigeneration solutions include:
- Lower CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions,
- Operating cost reductions,
- Reduced water use,
- Decentralised electricity generation.
